If you are in "Simple Automatic", then all you have to do is come to a complete stop, then press the brake to reverse. If in "Real Automatic", you need to have a "Shift up" and "Shift down" button mapped, which will allow you to change between Reverse, Neutral, and Drive. The shifting will be automatic though. I use the keyboard setting to for accelerating and steering but whenever I press control and hold S the truck just sits there. I am also using the automatic transmission. #2
Re: Profile Keyboard/Controller Setup. Yes, it is. Go to "This PC > Documents > American Truck Simulator > Profiles > [Profile ID]," and copy the "config.cfg" " controls, sii " file. You can paste it in the folder of your other profiles. Since the profiles are just labeled as numbers in the folder, you can identify the profiles by using the date
Hello, is there anything like a Lane keeping assistant? I'd even take a mod. At least for some long cruises on highways. The problem is I don't own a steering wheel, so I have to play on the keyboard. And having to tap a key to steer every second or so causes me unbearable pain in my wrists after merely an hour of gameplay, so I can't really enjoy the game. I don't really have any problem You can assign up to two keys for one assignment. Go to options > keys & buttons - you will see primary and secondary section. Primary will be the main key for that function and secondary your second. I'm ok with that but doesn't work with a steering Wheel. I can't assign a combinaison of 2 buttons. 🚫 বিসমিল্লাহির রাহমানির রাহিম 🚫⚠️ Video Title -- How to Setup Keyboard button in Euro Truck Simulator 2

Speaking of mouse bindings, I've found three changes to be really helpful. Bind the mousewheel to the retarder. Works great to just slow down a bit on the dual carriageways for a turn without stabbing the break. Bind the back/forward buttons on your mouse to gear shifts. With my G500 I was able to set up a macro to make my upshift binding on

I had this problem last night where no keyboard inputs were picked up. I tried pausing, enabling the parking brake, lighs. I AM able to alt+tab out of the game though. Also, the standard windows mouse cursor is showing up in the centre of my screen along with the ETS2 one when I launch the game. Whilst the ETS2 one moves in accordance with my
After the latest Euro Truck Simulator 2 update I've had some issues. I don't know if someone else has them but I'd like to share them so they'll get fixed. So my problem is: I can't use the reverse button. I normally use my xbox 360 controller and changed the reverse button to 'b' but that didn't work.

I bought this game 2 days ago and used the keyboard, everythign was fine, starting yesterday and has gotten worse today, the steering was too sensitive and i ended up having to reload a save twice because i damaged the cargo up to 51% need help now. You can adjust the sensitivity in the settings. Does tiredness also contribute to the
I've used it with the xbox 360 controller. They've done a nice job with the VR support - Still mostly a flat game but with the xbox controller you can control the mouse cursor to interact with menus, so you can keep the headset on the whole time. Once you've started both the Dash and ETS2 - go to the SimHub section called "Controls and Events > Keyboard Emulation. 2. Press the button (top-right) "Add mapping". 3. On the left, click "Click to Configure". 4. Change "Press Type" to "Short Press". 5. Press the Config Lights Button on the running Dashboard. Start\Stop Engine = Hat switch Right. Left+Right Blinkers = Left and Right Bumpers. (Button 4 and 5) Light Mode = B (Button 3) High Beam = Y (button 1) Wipers = X (Button 2) Cruise Control = A (Button 0) HUD CONTROLS. Toggle Route Advisor Mode F3 = Left Analog Stick Button 8.

So, where it ways Automatic Gear Box: Drive, click on the box to the right that says something like Joy Button 14. Now push the button you want to use. 3. Other option is to use the Logitech Gaming Software (LGS) to configure the wheel buttons. You will need to assign a keyboard button to the Drive and Reverse in game.

The mouse steering is very good, imo, once you dial the sensitivity in. As for the rest of the controls, I have the stuff I usually need mapped to a cluster around the throttle ('A') and brake ('S') keys: i.e., q, e, a, d, z, x, capslock, tab, tilde. I set these to light mode, highbeams, wiper, horn, air horn, directional indicators, hazard, etc. .
